Awesome write up!! I've been saving How-To's such as this as PDF files and then printing the pages out back-to-back and I'm going to put them in a binder for myself.

Personally, I only use fully synthetic grease such as Mobil 1. The companies website did not have any info on using it for bearings. The one link it had on bearings does not work.

Mobil1 makes a thick, hi temp grease? i've never done such a job, so i'm a little oblivious to some products on the market.

I normally go to my local autoparts store and they'll tell me what i need.

Oh yea, they make a synthetic bearing grease. I have been using it for years.
